My District and my sick Moses tie

Family,

Well it was another good, busy week!
Monday- Just a chill P day! Didn't really do a whole lot, just hung out around the apartment most of the day until we went out at 6. After that, we couldn't really meet with anyone we were hoping to except for Cody and Dakota, two brothers who are like 20 and 16. They aren't very religious but they seem to like to have us around and kind of like the whole idea of the church. We got a couple of new potential investigators and that was about it for the day.

Tuesday- We started the day off with some service for the City. We opened a bunch of checks for the City Utilities and endorsed them. Then, we went and shoveled gravel off the sidewalk and grass were a temporary road was. We met with Carol and mostly just talked about how to strengthen her faith. We got a couple of new investigators, one named Dennis and another named NIna. We were able to teach them both the first lesson and it seemed to go pretty well! We met with Cody and Dakota again but Cody was just pissed the whole time because his girlfriend had just cheated on him with another girl. Haha! I'm also pretty sure that she is married to someone else.... We had dinner with Brother Carrillo, who comes out with us pretty much every Tuesday, and met with Kevin, Brian and Rose (pretty sure Rose was strung out on meth), and the new member kid we found last week, Tristen.

Wednesday-We had a really good lesson with Teresa today that was the second half of the Plan of Salvation. She's really coming along well and reads and prays everyday! We had a lesson with one of our investigators on date, Becky. We taught her about family prayer and scripture study and committed her to do it with her family. We finally met the famous "Black Al" in town and gave him a book of Mormon! We'll probably follow up with him sometime next week.

Thursday-Zone Conference pretty much all day today! It was really good and uplifting and made me want to try harder at being a better missionary! We rode down there and back in a freaking RV it was awesome. We had dinner with the Wheelers. It was pretty good, but their kids hound me when if I don't eat a ton so I ate way more than I should! haha

Friday-We taught Carol and Teresa both the first 4 commandments today and they both committed to live them! Teresa told us she had been praying to God about what she should do to get her life in order right before we came and know that we were an answer to her prayer! That was cool! We got some flyers from zone conference about a new video the church has put out called "Because of Him" so we went absolutely crazy handing those out to everyone we saw. We got a new investigator named Stephanie, and taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We taught Becky a really good lesson about repentance and showed her the video. Then, we flirted with bashing at this lady named Randy's house. We were able to give her a Book of Mormon and she said she would read and pray about it. We met with the Christian kid we have on date and were only able to teach him the first point of the Plan of Salvation because he talks to much! But we found a new investigator at his house! A kid named Ty, who is about 12 years old and says he wants to be baptized!

Saturday-Pretty much met with Less Actives only during the day. Still handed out flyers like hot cakes. Then we had the Luau! It was tons of fun and I think it really helped create some branch unity! Some of the Less Actives we met with during the day even came so that was really good!

Sunday-Church was good! Easter service was nice but we didn't get as many people to church as we were hoping. That's been the most difficult thing so far, is just getting people there. We had dinner with a member family, the Crowthers, it was pretty good we had some leftover chicken from the Luau we had the day before. Then we did some role play on how to share the message of the Restoration with others. That went pretty well! They're the only member family out in their city of Centralia so they will have lots of opportunities to try it out. Handed out more flyers and met with a couple Less Actives that didn't make it to church.

Love you all!
