Here is how this week went....
Monday-Pday and FHE
Tuesday-We had zone conference here in Junction. It was good! We had some really good training and it will definitely help with the work in the area. We had dinner with the Rigby's and then had Brother Thomas come out with us to go teach a couple people. We had a good lesson with Dorian and he promised he was going to come to church on Sunday.
Wednesday-We met a former investigator named Janet and re challenged her to read the BoM. We met a couple new investigators including a lady named Candy who is somewhat familiar with the church. We taught her and her husband the Restoration and after we told them the story of the first vision they both said they knew it was true without a doubt! We put them on date for the 26th of July! We helped some people move and that was about it for the day
Thursday-We did lots of finding pretty much all day. We had Brother Thomas come out on some team ups with us. We taught a new member lesson to a recent convert named mitchell and then saw the Giddens. They have been reading the BoM but are going to go to Texas for a couple weeks! They said they would take it with them and keep reading and come to church when they got home though!
Friday-Did more finding and then went and helped some guy married to a less active member work on a trailer he's remodeling. It was pretty fun but he isn't interested in the church at all.We went to dinner at a family that the dad is an inactive member. I didn't know and asked him if he was available for team ups! He said he wasn't... haha But we had Brother Herr come out with us and we taught an excommunicated couple and then taught a new member lesson to Gary.
Saturday-Did even more finding. Had dinner with Brother Locklear and then went and saw quite a few people and got them committed to church.
Sunday-We had 10 people committed to church and only one came! haha and it was someone a member brought, Jared! But that was his second time coming and we made him an investigator and are going to teach him at a members home this week. He's a pretty cool guy and seems pretty interested. We had Brother Rigby come with us to go back to the Adairs. I was pretty worried he wasn't going to be interested because of the discussion we had with his friend last time but he told us he was glad we came back! He said even though he told us last time he wasn't interested in coming to church or being baptized that he wants to learn more and maybe do those things if it feels right. He told us about a time at the hospital when he was really struggling with the cancer and prayed to know if God was there and how he felt the spirit confirm that He was. He wants to learn more about the Book of Mormon to develop a relationship with God and even asked all of us the experience we had when we felt we found out that it was true! His countenance was just glowing and I could tell the spirit had been working on him. It was a really awesome lesson!
Well that's about it for this week! It was a good week with lots of member involvement! I love you guys!
