Hello everyone!
Things are going well in McPherson! We are working really hard trying to find solid people to teach (like 2-3 hours of tracting a day) But we've found some good people. No one super solid yet though. But Elder Munk has come quite a ways the last 2 weeks and it has been fun to watch! But here is how our week went-
Monday-P Day. Played basketball and ping pong as usual. We had dinner with the Kynaston's and I played their 17 year old son in some more ping pong. Lots of ping pong around here. We saw Ben and then a recent convert that we never have any luck seeing and set a return appointment for next month... She's pretty busy...
Tuesday-We had interviews with Pres. Bell and had a sick training by the AP's. Basically if we teach less than 48 total lessons in a week we aren't being as effective as we should. We did some tracting afterwords and met a pretty cool guy named Royce and talked with him about him and his family getting baptized! Hopefully he follows through and keeps return appointments! haha
Wednesday-Planning and service at the hospital as always. Did some tracting. Found a few good potentials the headed down to Newton for ward council and then missionary coordination meeting.
Thursday-Lots more finding today! Had a pretty good lesson with Mallory and Darnell and their friend that just moved in with them named Richard. They still are working on getting off work so they can come to church on Sunday. Did some more finding today! Met a cool lady that we put on date but when we came back to follow up she had her son come out to tell us she isn't interested. Lame! The Pavlovsky's fed us dinner and then took us to go see a less active family named the Hitts who haven't been in a really long time but we were able to have some really good contact with, and then the Travellers.
Friday-We had district meeting and then I took one of the missionaries, Elder Pettit, to McPherson with me. We had to take the car to get an oil change but we met a cool guy that works there named Patrick while we were waiting and taught him a little bit and are going to go teach him and his family. We went and saw Ashley, she is really struggling with the WoW and just feeling really overwhelmed with it. She doesn't really believe that she can quit and is losing a lot of desire to come to church or keep any other commitments. We saw the Hunters and got there kids all riled up, and then went by the Travellers and raided their fridge.
Saturday-Went and saw one of the members in town so he could show us all his prepping stuff. that guy is crazy! He's ready for anything from Yellowstone volcano exploding to a zombie apocalypse. We did lots more finding today and then had Bro Arnett come out with us to see a potential that fell through and then Ben. It was a pretty good lesson and then afterwords we took us to go get some hamburgers so it was a good night!
