Weekly Email - 1/26/15

We had ourselves a pretty good week! Here's how it went!
Monday-Ping pong and ballin'. Then we had dinner with the Kahle family and had some sweet ribs. We saw Ben and then a less active recent convert named Sister Newbie. It was good to see her because she is next to impossible to catch
Tuesday-I had District Leader Accountability meeting in Wichita and didn't get back until a little later in the day. But we did some tracting, met a pretty cool guy named Nick that we put on date for the 14th of next month. We also found a pretty cool less active guy while we were tracting named Dave Minks that doesn't come to church because he smokes and doesn't want to feel like a hypocrite. We went and saw the Travellers and they fed us some dinner. We've got them working on some pretty good referrals now too so hopefully those produce some results!
Wednesday-We went and E mailed since we couldn't on Monday because of the Holiday. We also did our service at the hospital and then did a little bit of tracting. We had a really good lesson with Sister Kuhn. We talked to her about coming back to church and she wants to start coming back and she wants us to start teaching her 9 year old daughter so she can get baptized! That was really cool! But they are so busy that it will be hard to meet with them. We had some meetings down in Newton and that was it for our day.
Thursday-It was Elder Munk's birthday... So guess what we did? More tracting!! We met a couple good new people and then saw Mallory and Darnell. They still have work on Sundays and can't come to church but have been reading the Book of Mormon and are going to start doing it as a family! We had dinner and then Bro Kahle came out with us. We had 3 appointments lined up and they all fell through! Just another day in the life!
Friday-We had District meeting and then I took Elder Daines on exchanges with me up in McPherson! He's a really fun missionary and it was a good time! We met a really cool guy that plays football at the local college and made him a new investigator and had dinner with the Hunters. We got to see a potential named Latasha and committed her to be baptized one the 21st of next month!
Saturday-Chris Traveller took us to a breakfast buffet and Elder Daines went to town. Probably had 5 plates of food. That guy can eat like no one else. Brother Perry came out with us and we had another appointment fall through but we went to a less active guy that he home teaches and had some good contact there.  We did more tracting and found some cool new people.
Sunday-Sister Kuhn cancelled for church but said she'll make it in two sundays. We didn't get anyone else there this week except for the Hunters. We had some appointments lined up from some of the people that we met earlier this week but they all fell through. We took Sis. Wilson the Sacrament and then tried some Less Actives in one of the small surrounding towns that no one knows anything about. No luck there. I don't think anyone was home. We went to the Owens for dinner and they had a bunch of people over and we shared a spiritual thought about service.
Well it was a pretty good week! Hopefully this next week we can make all of the people we've been finding a little more solid! Also, we're gonna focus a lot more on finding people through the less actives we've been working with.
Thanks for everything! Love you all!
Elder Boman
