At the baptism a month or so ago.
TRANSFERS!! So I will be going to Topeka to be a Zone Leader next transfer. It will be sad to leave McPherson. There was definitely some people that I grew to love here but I'm really excited for the next transfer too!
Well it was a great week! We had some really good trainings this week but a lot of meetings!
Monday-P Day. Balled and ponged. Then we had dinner with the Kynaston's and played some more ping pong. After that, we went to see Ashley Frields and watched Finding Faith in Christ with her kids. After the movie they said "you know? I believe in Jesus." YES!
Tuesday-Zone Conference in Wichita. Lots of sweet trainings. Then Elder Every came on exchanges with me. He's one of the ZL's here so it was lots of fun. We went to Christie's and met another one of her daughters and taught her the Restoration. It went pretty well but she's got some issues so she may take some time.
Wednesday-I took Elder Every to go meet the Traveller's since they are legendary round these parts. He had a great discussion with Chris about humbling himself that really went nowhere. He's so stubborn! haha Then we set up a lesson with one of the recent converts, Gene, to come over to the Overton's to learn more about Family History since he's getting ready to go to the temple. We had an appointment set up with the Kuhn's but they had to cancel since the younger girls were sick. But it was Riggs' 9th birthday so we still stopped by to take her a present and she really liked it!
Thursday-We had that lesson about family history with Gene at the Overton's but oh boy can Brother Overton talk about family history... for over an hour... After that, we met a super nerdy girl named Beth. She is super into comic cons and cosplay kind of stuff but she was super nice. We had a good talk with her and committed her to be baptized next month. hopefully she'll follow through! We had a cool experience where we prayed about who we should go see and felt like we should go see a less active couple, the Hitts, who haven't been to church in 3 years that live in the next town over. They were really surprised that we drove out there just to see them and said that they wanted to start having us over for dinner!
Friday-We had district meeting and then went to Pizza Ranch! Probably my favorite place to eat in Kansas. We saw some people and taught some gospel principles. We had dinner with the Hunters and played a game with the 7 year old son where we taught him the 10 commandments. That kid has got to have ADHD worse than I've ever seen. But it was still really fun! We saw sister Newbie after (a recent convert) and she hooked us up with some girl scout cookies and finally found out why she doesn't come to church! Her son was only really baptized because they really liked some members who ended up moving and now he doesn't want to go at all.
Satuday- Meetings in Wichita all day. First we had a meeting because Elder Munk got through his first 6 weeks of training and then we had a stake priesthood leadership meeting and then the adult session for stake conference.
Sunday- Stake conference. After church the Pavlovsky's took us to go see some of the people in Newton that couldn't make it. After that, we had dinner with the Hitt's and taught them the Restoration. It went really well and they agreed to start reading from the BoM again. We saw a LA named Patty (the one who had the son who recently committed suicide) and she told us that she knows she needs to come to church and she is coming this week no matter what without us even asking about it! That was super cool! We saw another LA and a part member family. The Robbins. He is a member but hasn't been forever and probably works 150 hours a week. So we got to play marriage counselor again. Yay. But we committed them to start praying together and to read 3 nephi 13 out of the BoM about balancing a family and a career.

Well that was it for our week! It was pretty fun and eventful!
