Weekly Email - 2/2/15

Monday-Double zone P Day in Wichita but we spent most of it at the store because Elder Every takes forever to shop... But still had some time to get the net schwappin' so it was a pretty good P Day.

Tuesday-We had a mini zone training and then district meeting. We did some finding when we got back and put someone on date for the spanish elders. We saw a LA that hooked us up with 3 or 4 pounds of deer meat. Now all I need to know is how to cook it! After that, we went and saw Ashley Frield and her kids and acted out some of the BoM stories with them (like Ammon, Enos, and Christ coming to the America's). It was super fun and they loved it and want to do it again! Dickman was driving through town and took us to go get some burgers and that was about it for our day.

Wednesday-Planning and service as always.. We saw Mallory and Darnell and talked with them about doing an FHE and then did some finding. We met some very interesting people today and put someone on date. We found out later that they weren't interested after all. After that, we had some dinner and then went to our Wednesday night meetings in Newton. We stayed the night in Newton with the Spanish Elders so we wouldn't have to drive back late.

Thursday-On our way home from Newton we stopped in one of the smaller towns to try some Less actives. We met a pretty cool lady who only doesn't come because she doesn't think her husband will support her. After we saw her we realized we didn't have our phone and had to drive all the way back down to Newton to get it. We had a little bit of time to do some finding but then we had to drive to Hutchinson for a baptismal interview I had to give. He was a way cool guy. Super prepared. The Pavs fed us dinner and then we met a pretty cool lady who just got stabbed a few days ago and made her a new investigator.

Friday-Exchanges in Newton with Elder Pettit! Did a bunch of work. Fun day.

Saturday-Exchanged back in Newton and then helped them help one of their investigators move. We went to the Bishop's house for dinner and then tired some potentials. We saw the Ayella's but they've been really busy and haven't really been reading the BoM but want to be able to meet again. We saw the Travellers. They have been struggling lately. Chris' chemo treatments have been rough and their marriage has been on the rocks, so we talked with them about ways they could build their faith so as to overcome their challenges.

Sunday-Church. No investigators again. We need to find better people to work with. After that, we took sis wilson the sacrament and the took Bro Pavlovsky to see the Travellers so he could play marriage counselor. Super fun. Then we helped out at an old folks home here in town that the church owns and shared a spiritual message with the inmates. We had dinner the women in the Long family while the men in the Long family were in the other room watching the super bowl and then we went and saw Ashley Frield and read some of the BoM with her and her kids.

Well it was a pretty fun and busy week! Things are going pretty well!
