Here's me and my new comp Elder Brown
Hello Everybody!
So this was my first week in Wichita! Its a great area! We cover an awesome family ward plus the YSA ward so we've definitely got lots of work to do! My new companion is Elder Brown, he's a polynesian from California and he's super cool! We get along really well! Im still getting to know the area and all the people we are working with but it's got tons and tons of potential for sure!
So I got word of things happening back in Topeka! Rhiannon got baptized on Saturday! Her whole family came to the service and now they are preparing for baptism as well! Xzavier's sister, Shokena that we started teaching is looking really good to get baptized next weekend too! She had a lesson in a member's home this week and is doing well!
Meanwhile in my new area... There are some good things going on! We have a sick investigator named Ian in the YSA that has been progressing a lot! Just since I've gotten here he has accepted a baptismal date for the 29th, started living the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity, and had a lesson in a member's home! He is really only waiting to receive a for sure witness! But we are going to be teaching him about faith and helping him to better understand how he is ready!
We found another girl named Alana that seems really interested! She wants to get baptized and just isn't sure where. We taught her about the BoM and the Restoration and she loved it! She was supposed to be at church on Sunday and we are still unsure of why she couldn't come but she seems pretty solid. The only thing that would really hold her back is just getting permission from her mom!
But that's about it for this week! Things are going well and I'm slowly but surely growing to love Wichita as much as Topeka! Thanks for all you do! Love you all!
