Tuesday-We
had District meeting in the morning and then saw some less solid
investigators. We did some finding and found a guy named Cedric that
used to live in Utah and seems pretty interested and a few other
potentials. Brother Rigby came out with us and we saw a few people and
had brief lessons with them but nothing too noteworthy. We went to
Pelican Pete's which is an awesome shaved ice place here in town. It's
awesome! I should have taken some pictures.
Wednesday-We had specialized training in Salina and
had some good trainings on teaching and inviting. Elder Hulse came with
us for a while in a tripod while his companion had a District Leader
meeting so that was fun. We saw some huge poly less active guy from his
area. We had dinner with the Zinkens and coordination meeting and that
was about it for our night
Thursday-Did some weekly planning and then saw
Rodney again. He still hasn't been progressing at all so we had to drop
him. We saw Joel again and were actually able to talk about religious
stuff. He has been studying it out a lot and was full of questions and
it was borderline bashing. We found a bunch of new potentials that we
had to hand off to the sisters and then had another bash with Emmerson
who once again promised to read and pray about the Book of Mormon.
Friday-TEMPLE TRIP!! We went to the Kansas City
Temple. It was awesome and good chance to get some good inspiration for
our area. We saw some Less Actives named the Munks who haven't been to
church in years and committed them to come.
Saturday-We
helped some less active lady move all day. Our ward mission leader was
the only one who came to help because we had just found out about it
that morning. We didn't get to really do a whole lot else the rest of
the day. We went and played some pros ball on post and met a few cool
guys. That's the closest thing to proselyting we are allowed to do on
post so we'll take what we can get!
Sunday-Joyce
came to church again! We are supposed to be going to teach her the
second lesson sometime this week. We had a few others committed that
didn't show up but we'll keep trying! The Sternbergs had us for dinner
and then we saw a Less Active lady that has a son who wants to be
baptized! We'll go teach him this week too!
Me and Elder Mitchell are getting along well and working hard! We're having a lot of fun and loving the people!
