It was a great week! It really flew by! Here's the breakdown
Monday- Pretty normal P Day. E Mailing, shopping, played some sports at the church and then FHE
Tuesday-We
had Zone training in Manhattan. It was pretty good. The main thing I
got from it is that we need to invite someone to be baptized everyday.
We met with a part member family and the non member dad showed us some
of his cool toys. He's not very interested in the church but we were
able to extend some good fellowship. We met a cool new investigators
named Omar and another named Crystal and are going to see them later
this week. We met with Megan and went through some of the baptismal
interview questions with her. She is looking good for the 20th. Still
hasn't smoked.
Wednesday-I
had to go to District Leader Accountabilities in Manhattan. It was
good, President Bell and his Assistants were there and we got some good
leadership training. Afterwords, we met with Megan for a minute and then
had dinner. Then I interviewed a couple kids the spanish Elders are
teaching for baptism. They were really awesome and very ready. Then we
had coordination meeting.
Thursday-We
went on exchanges for a little while with some of the Elders in the
district. I went with Elder Hulse and did some finding in his area. Not
too much luck. We saw Megan again and taught her a couple commandments.
The Buttrey's fed us dinner and then Brother Buttrey came out with us on
a couple teaching appointments. He got in a pretty good argument with
Caroline about politics but I don't think she got offended. She said she
was still planning on church this Sunday.
Friday-We
had District Meeting and then went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders. I
went with Elder McKellar to Manhattan. It was really fun, he's an
awesome missionary and I learned a lot of things that I could try in my
work, area and district.
Saturday-Came
back to Junction City for the Spanish elders baptism. They baptized a
mom and her two kids. It was really awesome and they were so excited!
After that we played some tackle football with the young men at the
church in our suits. No grass stains! We saw Megan again and taught her
the rest of the commandments. All done with the lessons! She just has to
keep staying committed and she'll be ready! We tracted into a part
member family that was pretty cool. The non member husband wasn't very
interested but I think we'll be able to get them to come to church. We
went to a wedding reception for someone in the branch and were able to
see a lot of less actives.
Sunday-Megan came to
church again!! She is doing really good and is really excited to get
baptized next weekend! We had a couple other people fall through but we
should be able to get them to come next week. After church we saw Gary
and gave him a blessing because he tore his groin and then had dinner
with the Wrights who have like 7 kids under the age of 7. They are cool
and we got them to commit to do some missionary work with their
neighbors! We had a little extra time before 9 so we went and helped a
less active move some stuff to finish up the night!
Overall
it was a pretty good week! We hit standard on all of our indicators
which is good but our goal is to double them! Hopefully we can do that
this week!
Love you all
Elder Boman
