Here's how the week went
Tuesday-
E Mailing since Monday was Labor day. Had district lunch and then went
out and did some work. Can't really remember what I did. Details are in
my old planner.
Wednesday-
Transfers! Got some new missionaries in the District. They are pretty
cool. We had Weekly Planning. We were supposed to have a family history
church tour with Candy and John but they didn't show up.. The Taylors
fed us dinner and then we had Coordination meeting.
Thursday-Saw
a potential German lady named Andy. She's pretty cool, we explained why
we have the book of mormon and a little about the Restoration and her
interest was definitely peaked. We will have to stop by and see them
again soon. They are just really hard to catch! We tried to do some more
finding after but only got one girl to answer! Then we went and saw
Gary. He is doing really well and he wants to do some family history to
find some names to take to the temple and get baptized for them. We are
really excited! We'd be able to go with him! We saw Cedric and will
hopefully setting up a church tour with him next week. Megan fed us
dinner and we were able to teach her the Plan of Salvation. She has been
reading and everything and really wants to get baptized! Brother Thomas
came out with us and we went and had a really good bible discussion
with some investigators.
Friday-First
District Meeting as a District Leader! It was a little different to be
leading it and everything but I think it went ok. I gave a training on
How to Begin Teaching. Hopefully I'll keep getting better at those! haha
But afterwords, we met a ton of new people! A couple new investigators
and some cool old people who we'll have to go visit again. We had an
awesome dinner with the Lobans (He's a chef) and then saw Megan again.
She still has been reading everyday and we committed her to quit smoking
on the 6th so she can get baptized on the 20th!
Saturday-Saw
a couple potentials and were finally able to meet Tyler! He was the 12
year old kid of some Less Actives. He was awesome! He says he loves
coming to church and praying and he really wants to get baptized! We
have to arrange with the Young mens presidency some rides because his
parents never come, but he is really excited about it! We got some
really bad looking hair cuts from some members after that.. Like they
are really bad... and then we had a church tour with Caroline! It was
pretty good. She talked a whole lot and we weren't able to teach her
very much but she said she could feel the spirit there and we committed
her to get baptized on the 11th! She has to quit smoking so that might
be kind of hard but hopefully she'll make it! We saw Megan again and
taught her the law of chastity and committed her to live it so she can
make to 20th.
Sunday-Megan was pretty sick when
we saw her on Saturday night and was to sick to come! Caroline didn't
make it either! We ended up not having anyone there this week. I hate
that! It just makes me feel reproved for the whole 3 hours of church.
We'll have someone there next week though! We went to go see Dave
Giddens after church and he dropped us. He said it just isn't for him
but really he is just to lazy to keep any commitments. The Aiono's fed
us a really good pot roast dinner and then we went out and did some of
his home teaching with him!
Overall
it was a pretty good week! It's always a bummer when we can't get
anyone to come to church. But we'll just keep working hard and we'll get
them there. I love you all! Thanks for all of your support!
