Tuesday-We had District Meeting and lunch. Then we saw a less active member named Bill. We can't really get him to talk about anything other than sports and politics but he really enjoys having us over. We did some finding and met some JW who wanted to bash pretty bad. We messed with him for a while and kept trying to leave and eventually were able to. He just had to get in the last word.. haha Brother Rigby came out with us and we saw Candy and John and talked to them about overcoming their problems from past churches and then saw Emmerson and had a good conversation with him but he hasn't really been reading at all lately.
Wednesday-Weekly Planning and then exchanges with our district leader Elder Hamblin. He is a great missionary and has spent lots of his mission in leadership and I was able to learn a lot from him. We get along great and it was nice to go on an exchange with him because he goes home next week! Not too much luck though, they have a really tough area!
Thursday-Did lots of finding and found 3 new investigators! I'll let you know if they become anything but we did that for most of the day. We saw Cedric again and taught him lesson 1. It went really well and he understood all of it. We put him on date for the 20th of September! He says it will be hard for him to come to church and we'd have to give him some time but we'll have a church tour with him next week and that should help! The Zumbrennans fed us dinner and then Brother Thomas came out with us. We saw some less active that called us earlier in the day and said he needed to meet with us. He had his non member sister there named Megan and she wants to get baptized! We taught her the first lesson and put her on date for the 20th! She'll have to quit smoking though which will be tough!
Friday-Met a really exciting new investigator named Carrie who has family that are members of the church! I'll let you know how it goes when we get to go back and teach her but she's married with 3 kids so they would be an awesome family! We did some more finding, then we had to go fill up the font for a baptism of a child of record in the branch. Afterwords, Brother Nakasone came out with us and that's always a good time! He is just the coolest guy!
Saturday-Some more finding and lots of appointments that fell through. Dinner with a member and then we saw Joel who told us all about opening day in college football and then we answered some more of his questions.
Sunday-Spent the morning trying to get as many people to church as possible and ended up only getting Megan to come. She stayed for all 3 hours though and even stayed after for a baptism that the sisters were having! She looks pretty good for the 20th if we can just help her with the smoking! We went on a short split with the ward elders to help them reach standard which was fun. Later that night, I got a call from President Bell asking me to be the District Leader of Junction City. Hopefully I'll be able to handle that. But I know there is a reason I was asked to do it and I'm sure I'll learn a lot.
Monday-Labor day so no e mailing. We went up to Manhattan and checked out the K State stadium and some of the stores around campus. It was pretty fun! We had FHE that night and played 5 second rule which is a super fun game!
