Monday-Same usual P day. E mailing and then some sports and the church followed by some FHE
Tuesday-We
went to a funeral for a less active member that recently passed away.
It was pretty sad, they didn't have hardly any family there at all. But
after that, we had district meeting and I gave a short training on
helping investigators receive revelation through prayer. We saw Megan
and got her all squared away for her interview and then saw a few other
people. Lots of things that fell through and kind of a frustratingly
slow day.
Wednesday-We did some finding and
found a couple of pretty cool new investigators and then had Megan's
baptismal interview. It went good and she was all ready to go and then
let us know afterwords that she slipped up and smoked a cigarette on
Tuesday! She was feeling pretty bad about it and we called Pres. Bell
and got permission to do it this weekend anyway, but she said she didn't
feel right about it! So that kind of sucked! The Taylors fed us dinner
then we had coordination.
Thursday-Went
and helped a nonmember Brother Emmart (his wife is a member) do some
work on a trailer he's renovating. The ward elders came along too so
that was pretty fun! We found a couple of 14 year old brothers that want
to be baptized and should be seeing them tonight and then I had to
interview someone the Sisters are teaching for baptism. It went really
well. She was super ready! After that, we had dinner with the
Zumbrennans and then Brother Thomas came out with us. We went and saw a
former investigator, Ray, we haven't been able to see in a while and it
was awesome! He had just finished watching the movie "God is not dead"
and believed us coming was a sign. He just started a divorce with his
wife and was looking for some guidance. We talked to him for a while and
put him on date for the 18th of October! He has 4 girls and two of them
are old enough to be baptized too!
Friday-We
went and gave a blessing to a inactive members child in the hospital.
He's not seriously sick or anything just had some kind of bacterial
infection that wasn't too serious. We did some more finding and found a
couple new investigators. Then we had dinner and went to the Branch
activity. It was a "self reliance night" and there was some stations and
financial preparedness, food storage, canning, and 72 hour kits. It
wasn't as effective as a missionary tool as we were hoping though. Only
the active members came!
Saturday-We
helped some members from the ward move some furniture and then went to a
baptism that the sisters were having. After that, we tried to visit
some investigators with out very much luck and did some more finding.
Some members fed us dinner and then we had our appointments after fall
through. We ended up meeting some homeless guy and putting him on date
for the 11th! haha but he didn't show up to church..
Sunday-
We had an awesome day!! Ray came to church with all of his girls! He
even brought his neighbor (who is Candy and John's niece) who is looking
for a church! Megan didn't come though.. I think she couldn't get off
of work. But it was a pretty good day. Bro Nakasone came out with us for
a while to visit some less actives and then we had dinner with an
awesome family, the Aiono's
Overall, it was a
good week! Everything is going well here in Junc City! We should be
having some baptisms soon so we are pretty excited! I love you all!
Thanks for all your support!
