Hello Everyone!! It was an awesome week! We saw two baptisms!!! James and Xavier were both able to be baptized this week! It was really cool and definitely the highlight of the week!
Monday-Standard P day!
Tuesday-Had
district meeting! Don't really remember what else happened because it's
written down in my old planner... Hopefully nothing too eventful! haha
Wednesday-We did Stake Reports ALLLLL DAYYYYYY....
Thursday-Went
on exchanges with another missionary in the zone, Elder Bird. We went
to his area which is a real small town (kind of reminded me of Falls
City!). But we talked with a couple less actives, met a cool new family,
and then taught an eternigator who can't get baptized yet because he
used to be a paid assassin!
Friday-Exchanged
back and then had a couple meetings. We saw Xavier at the Young Mens
activity and got his parents to sign the release form! We met a cool LA
lady named Beth and committed her to read the BoM again.
Saturday-
We saw one of our investigators named Devonte and his and his fiancee
are really interested in coming to church and learning more. We had
stake conference this weekend so we were at meetings the rest of the day
Saturday. It was pretty fun though, we saw President Bell rip into some
ward mission leaders which is always good. We talked to Shoneka on the
phone, she's been down in Wichita all week because her dad passed away
on Tuesday. We talked to her about getting baptized this month and she
still says she wants to so hopefully they will be happening in the next
week or two!
Sunday-Stake
Conference! Then we went to James baptism then had Xaviers! Baptism
days are the best! Shawn and Jasmariah came to Xavier's baptism which
was really cool too. We had a member bring his friend to it as well and
we showed her the font and she wants to be baptized of the 6th of June!
We just had to pass her because she wasn't in our area... I hate when
that happens! haha But after that we had dinner with some members,
talked to a crazy lady, then about called it a night!
Well
it was a great week! Elder Nield is getting transferred and I'll now be
training a new Zone Leader Elder Cole! I'm really excited for this next
transfer! It'll be the best yet! We should baptize 2 families!
