Us at the golf course today for P-Day
Monday-PDay.
Had dinner with a really cool member and then saw Tamitha's family with
a mom from the ward with a couple of her teenage girls to invite
Tamitha's daughters to mutual. Then we saw Shoneka for a short minute.
Tuesday-We
had district meeting and then we had to go to Lawrence so Elder Nield
could practice with the choir for the Elder Holland visit. We had a
member come out with us and we saw James in the hospital who is doing
great and then Shoneka and her family and taught them about repentance
and committed them to be at church on Sunday.
Wednesday-We
went on exchanges with the other elders in our district. We had a crazy
day but Xavier came to mutual again! We had a couple of the youth help
us teach him the Plan of Salvation and give him a church tour! It was
awesome! We set up a calendar with him for next Sunday to get baptized!
Thursday-It
was a fun day! We met a few new people to work with! We actually have a
whole lot of people we're working with right now. We may have to start
going on splits a few times a week to keep up with it.
Friday-
We did some service for a member digging some hole's for fence posts
and then got to teach a few other people. We went to a devotional for
the youth that Elder Holland was putting on because Xavier was going.
That was super cool!
Saturday-We
drove down to Wichita and had our mission conference with Elder
Holland! It was super cool! I learned so much and it was an awesome
experience! Afterwords we had a pretty good day and got to teach a few
people.
Sunday-Shoneka's
family came to church!! They seemed to like it! Xavier came too!! They
are both on schedule to get baptized next Sunday after church. We just
got to make sure we do all We can this week and it should happen.
Shoneka's family is meeting some pretty intense opposition though. The
part member family across the street is really confusing Jasmariah and
their other neighbor tells them that we're rapists and antis them pretty
hard. But we're doing all we can to recognize it as Satan and they
still want to be baptized! We met a really cool Less Active family that
want to start coming back to church, get their 8 year old baptized, and
get sealed in the temple! Will be working with them weekly now and are
really excited about it! After we came in, I got a surprise visit from
my trainer Eric Stopper (President approved of course)! It was super
cool to see him again!
But things are going
well! Hopefully we will be having 5 baptisms next Sunday if all goes
according to plans! Thanks for everything! Love ya!
Elder Boman
