Well it was a good week! We had transfers so I now have a new companion. His name is Elder Cole from Preston, Idaho. He's a really cool guy and we get along well and I'm sure we'll have a great companionship!
Monday-P
Day. Had dinner with some members and then saw Tamitha's family so
Elder Nield could tell them bye before he got transferred.
Tuesday-Saw
pretty much all of our investigators before Elder Nield left. We got
to teach Xzavier's dad too which was cool. He's a dj and showed us his
sweet equipment and we talked a bunch of sports with him too. He's a
really good guy and has some potential a ways down the road, he's just
really stuck in his baptist ways.
Wednesday-Transfers!
Got my new comp and then traveled back to Topeka.We had a good meeting
with our Ward mission leader and then took Bishop to go meet Tamitha's
family which was really good.
Thursday-We
had an awesome day! Xzavier came to dinner with us at a member's house
and we taught him his first new member lesson then he came on team ups
with us after! He's got a really strong testimony and he testified of
how he came to know the Book of Mormon was true and that this is
Christ's church!
Friday-We
had a pretty good day. We saw some Less actives that we've been working
with and we put a couple kids named Jr. and Jose on date that we've
been working with. They've read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and
they know it's true. Now we just have to get the parents on board. I
don't think they'll have a problem with it since they said we could
teach the kids, they are just hard to meet with.
Saturday-We
had a super awesome lesson with Tamitha's family. We've been talking to
them about getting married and baptized on June 13th. Tamitha really
wants to do it then but Toby is a little more hesitant because he wants
family at the wedding and then they are worried about there combined
finances. But we got them to pray about it and then we started a fast
with them about it too! Shoneka's family came home from Wichita after he
dad passing away craziness and funeral. They committed to come to
church tomorrow and get baptized next Saturday.
Sunday-We
had an awesome day at church!! We had 9 investigators there! Tamitha's
family came and loved it and we had a couple other people there too.
Jasmariah was the only one in her family that was able to come but every
one else was ready and about to come but had an issue come up last
minute that kept them from being there. We broke our fast with Tamitha's
family after church though and they are planning on the 13th now! We
are so excited about them! They are so solid and are even talking about a
temple date to get sealed next year!
Well that's about it for our week! It was really good and we are loving it here! Love you all!
