Hello Everyone!!
We had a super good week!! We stayed real busy and had some sweet
miracles! Ross got baptized and we had the best day at church of my
mission!! Here's how it went!
Monday-P Day. Lots of fun with a combined double zone P day. After
that, we had a FHE with Toby and Tamitha's family. It went really
good!
Tuesday-Had district meetings and then a really interesting day. We
had a good lesson with a Less active, Cliff, that we've been working a
lot with. After that, we had some super crazy ghetto lady call us that
wanted us to meet her somewhere so we could pray for her. We met with
her and she didn't even want us to pray with her there, just to let us
know she wants us to pray for her personally ourselves. She was the
definition of cray. We had a lesson with Ross and taught him the Plan
of Salvation. He is inviting a bunch of his friends to his baptism!
And then had a really frustrating lesson with one of his friends.
Wednesday-Had tons of plans for the day that we were excited about!
buuuut... We had some member lady passing through town moving to
Connecticut have her U Haul trailor break. She had to move all her
stuff to a new one and had no help. So we did that instead and it took
pretty much all day. We saw Cliff for a short visit and gave him a
blessing.
Thursday-We were able to get a lot of work done today! We found some
cool new investigators and did lots of work. We taught Ross some more
and helped him get ready for his baptism.
Friday- We had Zone Training! It went pretty good! I gave a training
on Accountability and also on Working with Members. We had a lesson
with JoAnn. She has kind of slowed progression lately. She hasn't been
reading and hasn't been feeling up to church. We did some baptismal
interviews tonight too. Had the opportunity to interview a straight up
G gone mormon. so sick.
Saturday-Had 3 baptisms in the zone to go to including our own with
Ross! Ross' was super good! He had a bunch of friends there! It was
packed and more that half of the people there were non members! After
his baptism he got right up and bore his testimony! After that we had
a RC take us out to dinner with Xzavier, another recent convert of
ours!
Sunday-Church was so awesome!! We had 10 investigators at church and 8
Less Actives! Ross got confirmed and went right up to the mic and bore
his testimony again! He is so solid! He even changed his text
signature to- Brother Ross Cooper LDS. Tamitha and the girls came to
church! Toby had to work though. We had a pretty good rest of the day.
We saw Toby and Tamitha again and made some plans to keep working
towards their baptism on the 25th.
Well that was it for our week! I'm loving it here in Topeka! I hope I
stay here the rest of my mission! Love you all!
