Hello Everyone!
It was a great week! We finished the month out in the zone awesome with hitting our goal of 9 baptisms! We had a really good week with some sweet miracles!
On Wednesday we got a referral from the institute building in Lawrence for some guy that used to be a Jehovah's Witness but got disfellowshipped for looking into other churches. We went and met him and it was the most solid person I've ever met! He told us he knew the JW's were false prophets and that he believed in all of the standard works and modern day prophets! He even prayed for the Prophet and the Apostles in his prayer at the end! We got him a lot of member fellowship throughout the week and he came to a baptism and to church! The only thing is that we found out after church that he lives in another area.. by 2 streets!! So we'll have to pass him to another ward this week but he's for sure getting baptized on August 8th!
We've gotten a lot better at working with members lately and were able to have some first lessons and contacts with some new investigators in members homes! It goes to show members really do want and know how to do missionary work, they just need a little extra help!
One of these was a a neighbor of an active member and the other 2 were Part Member Families that the active members home taught. They all went well and are interested in continuing to investigate the church and already have huge built in fellowship which is awesome!
The other one of these that we found and taught this week was a girl named Rhiannon. She is the friend of Garrett and Lindsay, the 2 girls that got baptized last month. She has come to church a couple times and to a baptism but we haven't really been able to sit down and talk and teach her until this week! She is really interested in becoming a part of what she has seen with her friends and wants to get baptized! She is currently on date for this weekend but we'll have to make a lot happen to make sure it will all work out!
Well that's mostly what we have going on here! We are loving the work and are working hard! Just so you know, I'll probably get transferred next week so make sure whatever packages or letters you send get to me for sure by next Tuesday! Thanks for everything! Love you all!
