Hey Family,
Everything is going really good up in Nebraska! We taught 30
lessons this week and also did a lot of tracting! Elder Stopper
definitely has me working hard! We now officially have 2 people on date
for baptism and I'm really hoping they follow through. We had 4 on date
earlier this week but had to take them off because one has to get
married and the other one is impossible to get a hold of now. So we had
two pretty intense bashes this week. People can be very stubborn but I
guess that's how they view us too. So I've been studying up in the
"Black Dragon," a book that Elder Stopper gave to me that pretty much
teaches you the flaws in other religions. Pretty sweet!
We've had a lot
of success recently with less actives! We had someone come to church
last week that hasn't been in years, and we've been teaching this
family, the Rasmussens, that are pretty much new members because they
don't really know a lot about the church. The Rasmussens are very
excited to be coming to church and seem like they'll be a very solid
family!
We played some ball with some kids at the park the other day and
straight up gave 'em the business. We've been amping up the street cred
and getting in good with all the gangstas out here. It's finally
starting to warm up a bit! Although it's still super windy at times!
There are some first class weirdos out here! We met some guy the other
day who was a Free Mason. He was telling us about secret portals on
Mount Baldy and that he lived in OZ.
The work here is very good but sometimes can be frustrating. Pretty much
everyone we teach would have to give up drugs or get married to be
baptized, and often both. We even have a lesbian married couple that
we're teaching that could really use the gospel! They're going to
progress very slowly...
Love you guys!
Elder BomanHe didn't give any explanation on the pics, but here are some he sent.
