First Transfer - 6/9/14

I'm getting transferred!! I'm going to Junction City to be with Elder Potter! I don't really know anything about him so I will find out on Wednesday. I will miss this area and Elder Waite. I learned a lot from them both!
Monday we had p day and went and taught Tomasina and that was pretty good. Nothing too eventful
Tuesday-We went to our landlord's farm and helped him milk his goats and fed the milk to his calves. It was really fun! There were goats running all over the place screaming like humans! Just like the youtube video! We had district meeting and then went on got some lunch as a district. We met some new potential investigators then had dinner with the Larsens. We got President Larsen to come out on team ups with us to go teach Christjan. He was a lot of help even though we could tell he was uncomfortable in there run down house full of weed! haha
Wednesday-Apparently a tornado touched down in Hiawatha which is like 20 minutes away over the night.. We had no idea! haha we went to bed and out phone was dead so we didn't get any warnings! We awoke the next morning to a bunch of texts and worried people and we had no idea any of this was even happening! haha We saw Bryan who still isn't really doing very well.. we met his neighbor across the street who happens to be a friend of a member and committed her to be baptized on June 21st! We met some girl we met at Christjan's at the library and showed her some Mormon messages, we saw Julie and committed her to come to church, and we went over to Teresas! We taught her punk son the Restoration. He says he is looking to make some changes in his life because his girlfriend is going to have a baby so we are hoping to make some progress there with him! We had dinner with the Rasmussens and then saw Betty and Roderick.
Thursday-We went to do some service for the city and we met a woman named Heidi who was a referral from Rose and we've been meaning to contact for a while now. She was interested in finding a new church and we set an appointment to go and teach her the next day! We went back over to Christjans and taught him and Anastasia, then we went out to Sabetha to have dinner with the Wheelers. We also saw a guy who had been less active for like 15 years and committed him to church!
Friday- We saw Teresa and taught her mom a little bit about the church. We are going to start getting her brother who is a less active to come out with us to teach her more. Derrick prayed and it was really cool! Of course he was swearing like he always does right after... haha But then we saw Roderick and he took us to go meet his neighbor and we taught him the Restoration. Roderick was bearing some hardcore testimony and it was awesome! Except for the part where he talked about trying to kill his mom when he was young... But he even used a scripture and read it and prayed! We saw Kevin, who told us he probably won't be getting baptized until next April when he marries his girlfriend. But at least he is still interested and wants to come to church and learn more! We ran into our good ol' pastor buddy, Jim, and got into the "3 heavens" discussion
Saturday-We saw the Kelleys in Rulo. We saw Christjan again and made him promise to come to church. We met our drunk friend, John and talked to him for a while. He is interested in coming to church soon! We met some weird lady who read our Shakras and told us our future. But we made an appointment to go back on Tuesday and tell her more about the gospel! Betty fed us dinner. Which was pretty good! We met a friend of hers named Cece. The other elders that were here before us had met her and she told Betty that Elder Stopper was coming on to her sexually...  But we had a bunch of other people there so we knew it would be ok to teach her! Big mistake.. She only wanted to argue! haha she is an atheist who believes that Jesus was a gay thief. So, needless to say, things got a little heated! But we ended on some good terms so it's all good!
Sunday- We had a bunch of meetings and then dinnner in Seneca whis is like an hour away, so we didn't really have much time to do any missionary work!
