Weekly Email - 6/30/14

We had a good week! Got dropped by some people on date. But that's ok! We are just thrashing the wheat from the chaff!

Monday- Had dinner with a member family, the Princes and then FHE. It was pretty good! Some investigators came out and we had a spiritual message and played some games.

Tuesday- We had District Meeting then saw a couple of potentials and a family that has recently begun to return to activity. Then we got Brother Locklear to come out and see a potential named Kelly. It was a really good lesson and her and her boyfriend have been reading the Book of Mormon! We'll continue to work with them. They are really promising!

Wednesday- We did some service for Frank and then told him about the Law of Chastity so him and his girlfriend and daughter could get baptized. He didn't agree with it at all and went inside and told us not to go back! That kind of sucked. He was just telling us how he thought God sent us to him! We saw some other potentials and had coordination meeting

Thursday- Saw Twon and read 3 Nephi 11 with him. He is still wanting to be baptized sometime but says he isn't ready yet. We saw some Less Actives and then helped our neighbor move. He's a really cool guy and he's got a wife and two kids. He said he would come out to church sometime and that we could come teach them once they get settled into their new house. We are really excited about them! We saw Emmerson again and he is still nuts.

Friday- We helped our neighbors move some more, the Giddens and then helped a Less Active lady with a new baby and a deployed husband move as well. Lots of moving! haha Then Brother Locklear came out with us again and we saw Katherine and Dorian and then went and got some Taco Bell!

Saturday-A lady from Elder Potter's old area took us to lunch. She was very interesting. She is a less active member and she reads peoples energies! I've met a lot of people like that since I've been out. We saw a lot of our investigators but didn't really get to sit down and teach any of them but we were able to at least commit them to church!

Sunday- No investigators at church again! We are definitely going to do a lot of finding this week and find some solid investigators. A member family, the Hartungs fed us dinner and then we took the Sacrament to Gary again

We are loving it out here and having a great time!
Love you all
Elder Boman
