A sick coat at a thrift store
Family,
Monday-Really lame and boring P Day. Had a blast at FHE like always though!
Tuesday-We helped set up and take down some chairs and tables and some other stuff for a sisters conference they were having at the church here for all the sisters on this side of the mission. That took up a lot of our daytime hours but we were able to still get some work in. We saw Bro Everett, a recent convert and taught him the beginning of his 4th new member lesson and saw Megan. We got Brother Wayman to come out with us to help a friend of Megan's move a motorcycle to a storage unit. Once they left we were about to leave the storage area and had a dead battery! We were stuck there for about an hour with nothing to do in the middle of nowhere before we could get someone to come give us a jump! After that fiasco, we saw Ray who had heard from a mormon friend of his about the Word of Wisdom and wanted to know what was up with that. It was an ok lesson and he understands that he has to gain a testimony of the BoM to know if the word of wisdom is legitimate or not.
Wednesday-We had interviews with President Bell and some training from the AP's and then District Meeting. By the time we got back we only had time to see one potential before dinner and only enough time to set a return appointment. We had dinner with the Zumbrennans and then coordination meeting.
Thursday-We went and helped Bro Emmart with his trailer again and then found some new investigators. We had dinner with the Rigby's and the Bro Rigby came out with us. We saw Ray's neighbor who came to church with him and taught her a little about the Restoration. We should be able to have some good follow up with her next week!
Friday-We went on exchanges with the Spanish Elders. I took Elder Jacobsen out with me and we had a pretty good day. We saw good ol' Gary our recent convert and he's doing really well. Other than the fact that he tore his groin a couple weeks ago and hasn't been able to come to church the last couple Sundays. He did a bunch of studying for his new member lesson which was pretty cool though! We taught some reverend guy and committed him to read and pray about the BoM. I even invited him to get baptized! haha That would be so cool! We saw Emmerson that night and committed him to watch conference with us.
Saturday-One of the AP's came out with us all day so it was a pretty humbling day. haha He gave us a ton of stuff to work on and we were able to learn a lot from him. We found a couple of new investigators and committed a part member family we met a few weeks ago to come to church. The Zinkens fed us dinner and then we stopped by Megan's to make sure she was all good for her baptism on Sunday.
Sunday-Today was the big day! Megan got baptized!! It was awesome! She asked me to do it which was pretty cool! A young member girls friend saw the baptism and said she wanted to get baptized too! We hadn't met her before that, but she's been to church like 5 weeks in a row so we hurried and taught her the first lesson and put her on date to get baptized this Saturday! She just has to get permission and then she should be good to go! So that was really cool!! After the service, the Aiono's fed us dinner along with the AP's who came for the service. So we saw a whole lot of them this last week. The part member family came to church also so that was cool to see! The non member husband didn't make it though.
It was a good week this week! Me and Elder Mitchell are working hard and having fun! Thanks for all your love and support! Love you all!
